Fruit juice is a healthy drink that everyone enjoys. It is not only refreshing but it is also good for the body. One place where it is not good for is on your carpet. Unfortunately, spills and accidents can occur and you may find yourself having to deal with grape or cranberry juice on your carpet.

Fruit juice stains can be nasty as it can really leave a bright colored mark on your carpet. Getting it out is not exactly easy either. If you are facing this kind of predicament, below is a guide that can help you out in solving this carpet cleaning problem.

First, remove the excess juice spilled on your carpet. You can do this by using a sponge or clean towels and absorb the spilled juice. This will help prevent the stain from setting as well as it spreading further and deeper on your carpet.

Next, spray some lukewarm water onto the remaining stain to dilute it and then use a clean white cloth to blot it. This will help make it lighter and transfer some of the stain onto the surface of the cloth. It won’t exactly remove all of the stain instantly but it will make it easier to get off as we go along this process.

For the next step, you will need to make a cleaning solution which you will be using on the juice stain. Get a teaspoon of non-bleach detergent and mix this with a liter of water. Place this inside a spray bottle and test it out first on an inconspicuous part of the carpet. If it doesn’t damage your carpet fibers then you are good to go for the next step.

Spray the cleaning solution onto the fruit stain and then place a clean white cloth on top of it. Then, get a spoon and gently press it down on the stained area. This will help work the solution into the stained area. If the stain is not completely gone after one try, spray the soiled area again and get another clean white cloth to use in blotting the stain. Repeat this until all of the stain is removed.

Rinse the area you just finished cleaning with clean water and dry it using a wet/dry vac or some clean towels. This helps remove any residue from building up and damaging your carpet over time.

That’s it, after doing these steps you will surely be free of that nasty grape, cranberry, or any other fruit juice stain on your carpet. It’s not that hard as long as you follow the guide above to make your carpet clean and spotless once again.
